Hybrid capacitors provide the highest energy density solution for applications where high capacitance is required in a small volume. Tantalum case devices are hermetic, suitable for all aerospace and defense applications. Overall board capacitance may be increased, low temperature performance improved and series resistance reduced, without increasing volume or weight.

THQS series Tantalum encased hermetic shock hardened Hybrid Capacitors are available now in a variety of case sizes and ratings. The newest version is the THQS2 Series unit 0.6 inches in diameter & only 0.300 inches tall. These devices are designed to withstand very high shock and impact conditions. - Electrochemical Capacitors

Evans Capacitor customers continue to subject shock hardened capattery units to extreme testing conditions. Results from Sandia have included 100,000g impact shock tests, with excellent results. In fact capattery devices are used to power the testing of other components. Draper Labs has also confirmed shock and spin survivability with results from howitzer test conditions of shock, acceleration and spin.
